Summary

What skills and experience we're looking for

Bruntcliffe Academy is seeking to recruit an inspirational colleague to the role of Curriculum Leader of PE & Sport. This role is of great importance to our work as an academy. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching and motivating pupils across Key Stages 3 and 4 to achieve their potential within our teaching programme and through participating in our exciting co-curricular programme. We are particularly passionate about our GORSE Gets Healthy programme and BIG 3 Sports: Volleyball, Rowing and Karate.

This is an exceptionally important role for us here at Bruntcliffe Academy and the successful candidate will be joining us at a key point in our development. We have a strong team of specialist practitioners and excellent facilities which pupils and our wider community greatly value and appreciate. The whole area of sport is already popular in school; we want our new leader to have the ambition and skill to take Sport and PE to the next level of excellence.

The successful candidate will possess a powerful track record as a teacher and will be able to demonstrate the wider impact of their work as a leader.
