An opportunity has arisen for a committed and enthusiastic person to join our award winning Parks and Open Spaces section, within Environmental Services. The Parks Service in Hyndburn has 11 green flag awards, which is the highest number for a Council in Lancashire. You will work throughout the borough and undertake all types of gardening, grounds maintenance and other operational activities necessary to maintain the parks and green spaces of Hyndburn.

You will have a horticultural background with at least two years’ experience working in a landscaping or grounds maintenance environment. You will be qualified to NVQ level 2 in horticulture or equivalent. If successful you will become a valued member of our award-winning team. A current driving license is essential for this post holder.

As a Safety Critical role, you will be subject to drug and alcohol testing as part of our pre-employment checks. You will also be subject to testing at random intervals during the course of your employment
