Summary
The HAPPA Café in Bolton are recruiting for an Apprentice Trainee Chef. The successful candidate will work towards completing a Level 2 Production Chef apprenticeship over the duration of 15 months.
● Learn from experienced chefs while helping prepare delicious, seasonal dishes.
● Be part of our Neighbourhood Nights – a celebration of food and community.
● Gain hands-on experience and training in a real kitchen.
● Allergen awareness
● Knife work
● Prepare and cut meat, fish, vegetables and salads.
● Part of the process of making fresh soups/baking
● Storing products
● Eventually learn stock control
● You will be required to work weekends on a rota basis
● Ideally have access to reliable transport due to the location being quite remote.
● Clean and hygienic
● Smart and presentable
● Timekeeping and reliable
● Good communication and listening skills
● Willingness to learn
● Have an interest in food and this industry
Sunday - Thursday 8:30am -4:30pm Friday - Saturday 8:30am - 9:30pm, 30 minutes paid lunch break. Working minimum four out of seven days a week between 30-40 hours per week.
