Summary
We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic Music Teacher to join a secondary school team, starting October 2025 on a long term temporary and ongoing basis. The successful candidate will inspire students across Key Stages 3 and 4, fostering a love of music through engaging lessons, practical performance opportunities and creative curriculum planning.
Duties as a Music Teacher:
Plan, prepare and deliver high-quality music lessons in line with the national curriculum.
Direct and accompany school ensembles, choirs or bands, and organise concerts or musical events.
Monitor and assess students’ progress, providing constructive feedback and reports.
Create an inclusive, positive classroom environment that nurtures creativity and confidence.
Collaborate with colleagues and contribute to the wider life of the school.
Ideal Music Teacher:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with experience teaching Music at secondary level.
Strong musicianship and the ability to teach a range of musical styles and techniques.
Excellent classroom management and organisational skills as a Music Teacher.
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
