The Access Screening Officer (Scale 6) plays a crucial role within our organization, acting as the first line of defense in managing and safeguarding access to our facilities and information systems. Responsibilities
Verify the identities of all individuals entering the facility, ensuring compliance with security protocols.
Utilize screening technology and equipment to assess and grant access to authorized personnel.
Maintain accurate access logs and records for audit purposes, ensuring data integrity and security.
Monitor surveillance cameras and security systems to detect and respond to unauthorized access attempts.
Conduct regular security checks and inspections to identify and mitigate potential vulnerabilities.
Collaborate with compliance teams to ensure adherence to relevant laws and regulations regarding access control.
Provide assistance and information to visitors and staff regarding security policies and procedures.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent; further education in security management or related field is advantageous.
Proven experience in a security role or similar position, with a strong understanding of access control procedures.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with diverse individuals.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
Ability to remain composed and professional in high-stress situations, including emergency scenarios.
Basic knowledge of security technologies and equipment, including CCTV and alarm systems.
Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required by the operational needs.
