Summary
Processing repeat prescriptions requests Use of GP computer systems - Emis web, docman, accurx, microsoft office etc. Liaising with GPs, nurses, pharmacy, pharmacy technician, community pharmacist teams and patients regarding medication queries. Handling prescription requests from care homes and other external agencies including appliance companies Ensuring prescription processing is carried out in line with practice policies and current prescribing protocols. Maintaining accurate records and documenting all communications. Identifying and flagging potential prescribing issues, such as overuse or medication reviews due. Supporting the clinical team with prescription audits or medication safety work when required.
