What skills and experience we're looking for
We are looking for an energetic and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant with experience of working with KS1 children to support the teaching and learning of our pupils. We are in search of someone who can inspire our pupils and help them to enjoy their time at school and their learning. We have a vibrant and inclusive school dedicated to providing a nurturing and stimulating environment for our students.
We are looking for an LSA to work initially in KS1 but flexible enough to work across the whole school should it be needed (nursery to Year 2). The hours of work are 8.30am to 3.30pm (32.5 hours per week) – qualifications are desirable but not essential. On occasion, you may also be requested to work within either of the 2 other schools in our Federation.
The successful candidate will be able to:
• Support the delivery of creative and engaging lessons planned by the teaching staff, aligned with our curriculum
• Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment where every student feels valued
• Differentiate to meet the diverse learning needs of our students so they can achieve their best
• Implement effective classroom management strategies promoting positive behaviour
You will:
• Have experience of working with children of infant school age
• Be sensitive to the wide range of children’s needs experienced in main stream schools
• Be an excellent communicator, able to work collaboratively with the year group team
• Have a passion for education and a commitment for fostering a love of learning in students
• Be kind, caring and understanding and good role model for our pupils
