The Role:

As a Personal Care Assistant, you’ll be part of our client’s dedicated support team, providing essential care in their home. You’ll be employed by HomeCareDirect but will focus solely on supporting this client.

We have part-time and full-time hours available working days, nights and weekends. Flexibility will be required as you will be part of a rolling rota.


About the Client & Your Responsibilities:

We are seeking a compassionate and attentive female Personal Care Assistant to support our lovely client in the comfort of her own home. She is living with a number of health conditions and is looking for someone kind and patient to help her feel safe, supported and truly listened to.

As part of her dedicated care team, you’ll play an important role in not only providing personal care, but also offering companionship and emotional support, which are at the heart of this role. Regular moving and handling will be part of your day-to-day responsibilities, so a caring, gentle approach is essential.

This position would suit someone who is naturally understanding, an excellent communicator and able to show empathy during challenging times, helping our client maintain comfort, dignity, and a sense of independence.


Training & Support:

We provide comprehensive, paid training (to CQC standards) before your start date, covering -

- Full induction
- Safeguarding Adults
- First Aid / Food Hygiene / Health & Safety
- Moving & Handling
- Personal Care
- Medication Care Needs
- Cough Assist
- Mental Health Awareness
- All training must be completed prior to start date and is paid at minimum wage.


Who We’re Looking For:

- This position is female-only, in accordance with The Equality Act 2010 Schedule 9 Part 1
- Must have previous care experience
- Must be attentive and have a patient and caring attitude
- Excellent communication skills
- Must be compassionate, reliable and committed
- Commitment to long-term, person-centred care
