Salary: Grade I, points 31 to 35 FTE £41771 to £46142 (actual salary £38524 - £42,555 per annum)
Hours: 37 hours per week
Contract: Permanent, term time plus 4 weeks (negotiable)
Start date: due to varying notice periods, a start date in 2025 to be agreed with the successful applicant

The Governing Board of Ladybridge Primary School are seeking to appoint a dedicated School Business Manager to join our supportive and hardworking team.

Reporting to the school Headteacher, this is an exciting opportunity for somebody to join our inclusive team. The successful candidate will need to have experience of working in a school office environment and hold a relevant business qualification.

They will be required to assist the Headteacher in the general organisation, management and administration of the school:

  • To give strategic vision and leadership to all aspects of budget, finance, premises, risk management, health and safety, human resources and support services.
  • To lead, operate, maintain and develop the financial procedures and systems of the school, ensuring that legal and safety requirements (with regard to people, property and function) of the school are maintained.
  • To be responsible for the school site and its buildings, their maintenance, development and efficient use.
  • To be responsible for keeping abreast of legislation, national guidelines and local arrangements in relation to school finance, personnel, premises, Health and Safety and other related matters; advising the members of the Leadership Team and Governing Body as appropriate.
  • To generate additional income into school.
  • To ensure that the school is fully prepared to meet OFSTED and School financial criteria.
  • To liaise with all relevant external agencies.
  • To implement the school’s vision and ensure the most effective use of resources in support of the school’s aims and objectives.
  • To lead, manage and develop the administrative team and implementation of services.
