Summary

Brook Street are looking for a temporary Administrator to work for the Environment Agency in a short-term role, due to run for 3 months.
Working within the Professions and Technical Skills team and supporting the Leadership Team and wider team as required.
You will be working in a fast-paced environment, supporting multiple tasks, and liaising with internal colleagues, senior stakeholders, and an external consultant. No two days will be the same you could be organising workshops one day, maintaining the delivery plan the next, and supporting the restart of the professions mapping the day after.
An excellent package is offered, including:
- £14.87 per hour pay rate
- Starting as soon as you have passed clearance checks until the end of December 2025
- Accrual of up to 33 days paid annual leave pro rata available (inclusive of bank holidays)
- Working 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm
- Based in Bristol, BS1 5AH
Key Responsibilities:
Examples of work performed will include but not be restricted to:
- Work with the Senior Advisor to develop and maintain the high-level roadmap, milestones, and schedules for Professions and the Single Capability Framework delivery.
- Work with the Senior Advisor and Advisors in the team to design a plan for completing the mapping professions planning tasks and timelines.
- Create and roll out standard templates for plans, action trackers, meeting notes, and reporting, and maintain accurate records of actions and decisions to ensure timely follow-up.
- Arrange and coordinate meetings, workshops, and planning sessions with key stakeholders.
- Act as primary administrative contact for the team and consultant, coordinating their engagements and deliverables.
- Ensure all documentation is stored in a central, accessible location with clear version control.
- Prepare handover documentation to enable sustained delivery after the contract ends.
What are we looking for?
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, working effectively with team members and external contractors/suppliers
- A can-do attitude and a real passion for supporting people and sustaining working relationships
- Well-organised, able to manage yourself and your own workload effectively whilst working under your own initiative
- Ability to pick up new IT systems quickly and be capable using IT services such as Microsoft Office programmes (for example MS Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel and SharePoint etc.).
- Previous experience of working within a project of programme environment with track record in project administration for example administering project plans, risk registers and action lists.
Desirable:
- Experience of working in a HR and/ or Learning and Development Team environment.
- Experience of communicating with and influencing senior stakeholders.
