Job Title: Hygiene Operative
Location: The Compleat Food Group, Weston Road, Crewe, Cheshire, CW1 6XQ
Working Hours: Weekend Shift. Tues – Sat, 6am – 2pm
Pay: £12.41 per hour
Reporting To: Hygiene Team Leader, Hygiene Supervisor, Hygiene Manager

What You’ll Be Doing
* Carry out scheduled cleaning of production equipment, machinery, work areas, and common areas.
* Follow detailed cleaning procedures and hygiene protocols (e.g., COSHH, HACCP, GMP).
* Prepare and use cleaning chemicals safely and effectively.
* Dismantle and reassemble machinery as required for deep cleaning (where trained).
* Complete hygiene documentation and cleaning records accurately.
* Report any issues, damages, or potential contamination risks to the Hygiene Supervisor.
* Ensure all cleaning is completed to a high standard within allocated timeframes.
* Work closely with production and quality assurance teams to maintain a hygienic environment.
* Always wear and maintain appropriate PPE.
* Participate in hygiene audits and inspections.
* Follow all health, safety, and food safety regulations.
* Work as part of a team or alone if required.
* Ensure Clean As You Go is fully maintained in all areas – at all times.
What We’re Looking For
* ‘Can do’ and ‘Team work’ approach
* Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and safe handling procedures (COSHH).
* Basic understanding of hygiene and food safety standards (e.g., HACCP, GMP).
* Organised and quality minded
* Attention to detail
* From time to time, you may be required to undertake duties as directed by the Company, or other roles that the Company believes
are reasonable.
