The Discovery Academy is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic SEN Practitioner to work in our newly opened SEN Resource Provision, Aspen Hollis. This will be the 1st Secondary SEN Resource provision in Stoke-On-Trent! The provision will cater for up to 16 children who have an Education Health Care Plan for Communication and Interaction Needs and provide a nurturing space for personalised learning enhanced with some mainstream lessons. The provision allows students to integrate into mainstream school life at their own pace, participating in extracurricular activities, social events, and shared learning experiences with their peers. There is no greater reward than being part of a highly inclusive Academy and Multi-Academy Trust at the forefront of change where children's hearts and minds, matter most.
The ability to converse at ease with members of the public, including staff and students in accurate spoken English is essential for the post, therefore postholders must be able to fulfil all spoken aspects of the role with confidence through the medium of English.
At the heart of everything we do is an unremitting desire for our students to become successful and responsible young people who make a positive contribution to our academy and the wider community. To do this, we need the very best people, who we will support to be outstanding practitioners. Do you want to be a part of this success? If you do, we would love to receive your application.
