The governing body are seeking to appoint a dedicated, enthusiastic and experienced Teaching Assistant Level 4 who will be responsible for providing PPA/ALNCo/SLT release cover in all mainstream classes across the school.
Perthcelyn Community Primary School is situated in Perthcelyn, Mountain Ash. We currently have 118 pupils on roll agted between 3 and 11 (including 17 pupils who access our two ASD learning support classes). Our commited team works hard to nurture our pupils, and set high expectations for learning, well-being and behaviour. Central to everything we do, is a commitment to ensure that every day, we provide opportunities for every child to thrive, grow and succeed.
Main duties and Responsibilities:
• Planning, resourcing and delivering (in collaboration with class teachers) lessons across the school
• Support class teachers in creating stimulating classroom environments which are conductive to learning
• Monitor and assess pupil progress, ensuring appropriate records are maintained and use information gathered to inform individual pupil targets, lesson planning and the preporation of supporting materials
• Managing and deploying staff, where required
• Comply with all school policies and procedures
• Attend planning and staff meetings, parent consultaions and parent/whole school events
•Play a full part in the life of the school community, supporting the overall ethos of the schoolIn addition the success ful candidate will need to:
