As a Security Officer with ISS, you will be at the forefront of creating a safe environment, protecting your colleagues and our customer's property, people, and assets by providing exemplary security operations.

Working across multiple sites, you will ensure that each client’s facility is safe and secure for all members of the public, contractors, and the client at all times. You will also act as a first line of security response when incidents occur onsite, playing a key role in maintaining a secure and welcoming environment.

The Role

As a Relief Security Officer your duties will include:

Patrolling the client’s internal and external facilities and responding promptly to any suspicious incidents

Attending all incidents as directed and acting as first line response in emergencies

Responding to incidents in common areas and client units when called upon

Escalating or reporting incidents to the Communications Centre, Line Manager, Mobile Supervisor, Client, or Police when necessary

Responding to intruder alarms and assisting individual units during night shifts

Writing reports for incidents and daily occurrences

Welcoming and assisting visitors to site in a polite and courteous manner

Dealing with general queries from customers, the public, or the client as necessary

About You

Previous security experience

A valid front-line security guarding, door supervision or close protection SIA license

Minimum 5 years resident in the UK, due to national security vetting requirement

Knowledge and experience with security systems and other related tech

Great attention to detail and a consistent approach

A team player with good customer service skills

New recruits will be encouraged to enrol onto the relevant apprenticeship as part of their training and development
