An independent small-animal practice with a refreshing, personal touch is seeking a part-time Veterinary Nurse (20 hours per week) to join it's close-knit team. Its stellar reputation is built almost entirely on word-of-mouth recommendations and glowing online reviews—proof of the exceptional service and clinical standards it delivers every day.

Why This Practice Stands Out

Here, thorough in-house workups and early diagnoses are the norm, and most cases—routine or complex—are managed on site. The founder, a 2007 graduate with a Postgraduate Certificate in Small Animal Emergency and Critical Care (and currently pursuing a second in small-animal surgery), created the practice to be the antidote to burnout and the corporate grind. For anyone craving a role that restores faith in the joy of veterinary work, this is it.

The Role

The successful candidate will rotate between surgical and nurse consult duties. A love of learning is key: whether or not you’re experienced with advanced procedures or exotics, you’ll be encouraged to build skills and grow your confidence in a supportive environment.

What’s on Offer

• Well-equipped practice: ultrasound (Mindray), digital & dental X-ray, full IDEXX lab, Tonovet Plus, orthopaedic kits, platelet-rich plasma & stem cell therapy kits, and more
• Thoughtful scheduling: 15-minute consults, protected emergency slots, no on-call or out-of-hours
• Balanced lifestyle: no bank holidays, 20 hours per week
• Support & perks: NEST pension (from day one), paid RCVS & VDS fees, private medical insurance (including mental health and physiotherapy cover), staff discount, and full in-house training on all equipment
• Collaborative culture: experienced, good-humoured team that values mutual support and professional growth
