Theposts arewithin the Adults’ Radiology Directoratewithin the Division of Imaging

The successful candidate will join a dynamic team ofover 50 ConsultantRadiologistsin Adults’ Radiologyprovidinga full range ofimagingservices to the local population and tertiary level servicesacrossGreater Manchester and beyond.Adults’ Radiology isthe largest department within the Division of Imaging, and ourconsultantteamprovidesafull range ofgeneral and specialist imaging foradultpatients across our 3 Acuteand 2 non-acute hospital sites.

Subspecialty

The successful candidate will join a dynamic team of over 20 GI/Body radiologists providing a full range of GI services to the local population and tertiary level HPB services to Greater Manchester and beyond.

The successful candidate should be competent to report general body cross section to support GI services. Experience of pelvic floor imaging e.g. proctography, MR proctography, endoanal USS & GI fluoroscopy is essential.

The successful applicant will contribute to GI and Pelvic floor MDTs. There are opportunities to be involved in several benign MDTs including Inflammatory Bowel Disease and gastro/benign HPB. The department has developed a rapid diagnostic cancer service and the successful applicant will be expected to contribute to the reporting roster for this service.

Acute & On-Call Radiology

There is no on call requirement with the post. The successful candidate may be asked to support acute/duty radiology services.
