Summary
Educato are currently recruiting on behalf of a specialist SEN school in Oldham for an experienced SEN Teacher. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive and dedicated team, working across both primary and secondary age groups with pupils who are tracking at varying levels due to their additional needs.
As an SEN Teacher, you will play a key role in providing high-quality, engaging lessons that are tailored to meet the diverse needs of learners. You'll need to be flexible and open-minded, as you will be required to work across all units within the school base, no two days will ever be the same!
Your responsibilities will include:
-Teaching and supporting pupils with a wide range of additional needs across KS1-KS4.
-Delivering creative and differentiated lessons to ensure progress for all learners.
-Promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment.
-Using effective behaviour management and de-escalation strategies to support pupils.
-Working with support staff and other professionals within the school.
What We're Looking For:
-Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
-Previous experience teaching children and young people with SEN (essential).
-A flexible, adaptable, and resilient approach to teaching.
-Knowledge of de-escalation strategies and behaviour management.
-Team Teach training (desirable but not essential).
