Summary

We are looking to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced individual for the role of ICT Learning & Development Specialist in the ICT & Digital Transformation Team. The ICT & Digital Transformation team mission is to provide digital systems that are customer focused, easy to use, reliable, flexible, and meet the needs of all our stakeholders.

About the role

The successful candidate will lead on the effective development, delivery and implementation of training on ICT and Digital services, using formal and informal methods, as appropriate.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Maintaining up to date professional & training certifications in appropriate technologies
    • Collaborating closely with colleagues across the department and wider organisation to identify, develop and deliver ICT training, including the following topics:-
      • Cyber Security
        • Use of core business Systems such as Open Housing
          • Use of Microsoft 365 applications
            • Use of other non-core systems
              • Use of solutions developed internally by our development teams for use within the business
                • Monitoring mandatory ICT training completion rates, such as Cyber Security
                  • Developing methods for measuring the effectiveness of training delivered.

                    About you

                    The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate:

                    • Proven experience of customer focused training services or proven experience as a Digital Learning Specialist or IT Trainer
                      • Experience of working in partnership with internal and external stakeholders
                        • Experience of Digital or Product training, ideally within the housing sector
                          • Experience of authoring and delivering original and engaging digital learning content, including video

                            Essential technical expertise:

                            • Working knowledge of systems used within the group, such as : Open Housing, Open Accounts/ebis, iTrent, Total Mobile, Kirona DRS
                              • Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 applications, especially Word/Excel/Powerpoint and SharePoint

                                • ICT Learning & Development Specialist - permanent role
                                  • Salary is £40,165 per annum
                                    • Contractual Location to be agreed with the candidate at one of our main offices in Gosforth (NE12 8EG) or Stanley (DH9 7YE). Due to the nature of the role office presence is required throughout week so successful candidate must live within commutable distance
                                      • Regular travel will be required
                                        • 37 Hours per week with agile working
