Description
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Gardener to join our team under the job title Gardener LBS-003. As a Gardener, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining beautiful outdoor spaces, ensuring that our gardens flourish and provide an inviting environment for our community. You will play a pivotal role in plant care, garden design, and landscape maintenance. The ideal candidate should possess a deep knowledge of horticulture and landscaping techniques, along with a strong appreciation for nature's beauty. You will work closely with other team members to plan and execute gardening projects, as well as develop innovative ideas to improve our green spaces. From nurturing seedlings to crafting seasonal displays, your work will greatly impact the overall ambiance of our premises. In addition to technical skills, the Gardener must exhibit excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with our team and engage with visitors and clients. Responsibilities
Design and maintain garden layouts and plant compositions.
Perform regular maintenance duties including weeding, pruning, and mulching.
Water plants and monitor soil conditions to ensure optimal growth.
Identify plant diseases and pests, and apply appropriate treatments.
Collaborate with team members to plan seasonal planting and garden events.
Keep detailed records of garden activities, plant health, and maintenance schedules.
Engage with visitors to educate them about plant care and garden initiatives.
Requirements
Proven experience as a gardener or in a similar role in horticulture.
Strong knowledge of various plant species, horticultural techniques, and garden maintenance practices.
Ability to operate gardening tools and equipment safely and efficiently.
Physical stamina and the ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
Strong communication skills to interact with team members and visitors.
A passion for gardening and a commitment to sustainable practices.
Must have 1 years experience with ground maintenance, and have a full driving licence.
Must have at least 1 years experience with gardening, to include grass cutting, shrub work must have a UK driving licence.
Requirement - essential/desirable skills/qualification/experience – Driving essential, with trailer desirable, min 1 year garden experience, qualification desirable.
Hours Per Week: 36.00
Start Time: 07:30
End Time: 15:00
Pay Per Hour: £15.39
