Summary

To be responsible for all matters relating to decontamination within the Trust and provide expert advice relating to associated departments of the Trust and external bodies with regard to Decontamination and will be responsible for providing highly complex and sensitive information in matters involving serious untoward incidents or never events where there is a decontamination implication. The Senior Decontamination Manager will be expected to provide leadership, strategic direction and operational management of decontamination services across the Trust. Leeds Teaching Hospitals Trusts (LTHT) is seeking to establish and deliver a high quality, efficient and cost-effective decontamination service to all of its users and stakeholders in line with current legislation and best practice. To ensure that all management and production is carried out according to documented specifications as indicated in ISO: 13485: 2003 and other local and/or nationally agreed standards and protocols are in place across the Trust. Advise and guide the Trust in respect of decontamination services in future developments, contracts and its delivery strategy. Interpreting both National and International standards, plan, develop and implement a 5 - 10 year decontamination strategy for the Trust as a whole. To develop Standard Operating Procedures for decontamination across the wholes Trust. Promote good governance and develop appropriate Quality and Audit Management Systems. Devise a Trust wide strategy for the development of endoscopy decontamination services. Contractual performance management for the Sterile Services contract, ensuring that is fit for purpose and offers good value (cost & quality) for the Trust.
