Summary
Are you a dedicated educator looking to make a real difference in the lives of young people with special educational needs? Look no further than Amwell View School, located in the charming village of Stanstead Abbotts. Our client is seeking a Full-time SEN Teacher to join their dynamic and supportive team, offering a competitive salary ranging from MPS1 to UPS3.
At Amwell View School, we believe that every child deserves the opportunity to reach their full potential, regardless of their unique challenges. As an SEN Teacher, you will have the privilege of working with students aged 2-19 who have a wide range of learning difficulties, including autism, severe learning difficulties, and complex medical needs. Your role will be to create a nurturing and stimulating learning environment that caters to each student's individual needs, fostering their academic, social, and emotional growth.
We are committed to providing ongoing professional development opportunities to enhance your expertise in SEND teaching, behaviour management, and alternative communication methods such as Makaton, PECS, and AAC. You will have the chance to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of specialists, including speech and language therapists, occupational therapists, and educational psychologists, to develop personalised learning plans that maximise each student's potential.
We are looking for a creative, resilient, and empathetic individual who is passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of young people with SEND. You should have a relevant teaching qualification, experience working with students with special educational needs, and a deep understanding of the challenges and rewards that come with this unique role. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as you will be working closely with students, families, and colleagues to ensure the best possible outcomes for all.
In return for your dedication and expertise, our client offers a competitive salary, a supportive and inclusive work environment, and the opportunity to be part of a team that is truly making a difference. You will have access to state-of-the-art facilities and resources, as well as ongoing training and development to help you grow both personally and professionally.
Amwell View School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. Appointment to this post is subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check as well as other pre-appointment checks, including an online check, as outlined in Keeping Children Safe in Education (September 2024).
We welcome applications from all suitably qualified individuals regardless of age, gender, ethnicity or religion. Please note: We are not accepting calls or emails from recruitment agencies regarding this position. Direct applications only (via this website).
