Summary
Psychology Graduate - SEN Teaching Assistant
Are you a Psychology graduate eager to make a real impact while gaining hands-on experience in education and mental health?
You'll be working closely with students who have EHCPs and a range of additional needs, including Autism (ASD), Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges, Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), and communication barriers. Your role will involve providing tailored 1:1 and small-group support-helping students thrive both inside and outside the classroom.
What You'll Be Doing:
* Providing targeted, compassionate support to students with special educational needs
* Supporting pupils with Autism and communication difficulties to build confidence and independence
* Managing challenging behaviour using evidence-based strategies
* Collaborating with SENCOs, therapists, and teaching staff to deliver a whole-child approach
* Gaining hands-on experience with EHCPs, adaptive teaching, and early intervention strategies
