Summary
The post holder will be a fully skilled engineer who will be reliable, punctual, self-motivated and able to work in a busy, fast-paced environment as part of a team.
Responsibilities and duties include: programming, setting and operating CNC machines (XYZ experience preferred but some training available); machining small/medium sized projects to drawings; producing small batches and one offs; working to identified tolerances on drawings; using a range of machines including CNC, Bridgeport, conventional lathers/millers; working on jigs and fixtures and general machining.
Ideally we are looking for someone with a toolroom background with a minimum of 5 years experience, preferably including CNC machining and programming. A high level of competency in reading and understanding engineering drawings in needed. Also required are good problem solving, logical thinking and communication skills. A team player who has the ability to work alone when required.
