This is a home-based role with occasional travel required for client meetings and team collaboration.

What you'll be doing

• collaborate with the Head of Strategy and Insights to source, analyse and present data that informs divisional strategy
• monitor emerging public sector policies and assess their potential impact on Capita, providing regular updates to stakeholders
• evaluate strategic priorities against Capita's purpose and pipeline to support decision-making across teams
• conduct scenario modelling and data analysis to help position Capita for future opportunities
• support research activities including market sizing, competitor analysis and proposition development
• deliver insights to enhance performance, sales, marketing, and lead generation initiatives

What we're looking for

Essential

• advanced Excel expertise for data manipulation, modelling, and scenario analysis
• bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification, or demonstrable relevant experience in a related field
• proficiency with data visualisation tools such as Power BI or Tableau to present insights clearly
• strong analytical and modelling skills, with the ability to interpret large datasets and extract meaningful insights
• experience in conducting thorough research, including market sizing, competitor analysis, and policy impact assessments.
• experience with creating compelling, data-driven narratives and contribute to strategic thinking and insight reporting
• experience with using AI tools to enhance research capabilities and support ad-hoc requests

Desirable

• a degree in a STEM subject due to its strong alignment with the analytical nature of the role

About the Strategy and Insights Team:

The Strategy and Insights Team helps the Capita Public Service Division understand the macro-environmental, industry and internal factors impacting growth, as well as supporting the shaping of key strategic items (business, growth and operational strategy, proposition development, market entry / expansion, etc.). It provides key insights and analysis as dictated by the needs of the division.
