We are seeking a dedicated and skilled ASW Approved Mental Health Professional (AMHP) WCR 3 MAX to join our team in providing high-quality mental health services. In this role, you will be integral in assessing and supporting individuals with mental health needs, ensuring they have access to the appropriate resources and treatments. The ideal candidate will possess a thorough understanding of mental health legislation and best practices, enabling them to make informed decisions in high-pressure situations. As an AMHP, you will work collaboratively with different agencies to carry out mental health assessments, collaborate with social services, and support the vulnerable populations within our community. Your role will also involve guiding and mentoring junior staff, providing training and support for best practices in mental health care. Responsibilities
Conduct mental health assessments to determine the needs of individuals and recommend appropriate interventions.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals and social services to develop comprehensive care plans.
Provide support and guidance to individuals experiencing mental health crises and facilitate necessary interventions.
Ensure compliance with relevant mental health legislation and ethical guidelines in all assessments and interventions.
Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss case progress and share best practices.
Offer mentoring and training to junior staff members and new AMHPs to enhance team capabilities.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of assessments, interventions, and outcomes in accordance with organizational policies.
Requirements
Must be registered as an Approved Mental Health Professional (AMHP) with relevant qualifications and training.
Significant experience in mental health settings, with an emphasis on assessments and crisis interventions.
Strong understanding of mental health laws, policies, and ethics governing AMHP practices.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse populations.
Proven ability to work under pressure and make sound decisions in crisis situations.
Experience in working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and external partners.
Commitment to ongoing professional development and education in mental health practices.
Hours Per Week: 36.00
Start Time: 09:00
End Time: 17:00
Pay Per Hour: £29.21
