Summary
We're looking to recruit a Neighbourhood Officer in Liverpool on an 8-month maternity cover contract. This is a 37 hour per week role on a hybrid basis (min 2 days in office, rest on patch or WFH where appropriate).
Key responsibilities:
- Act as key point of contact for customers in your patch, delivering a range of housing and tenancy management services
- Carry out a range of visits to customers in their homes, such as viewings, exchange inspections, tenancy reviews, audits and attending evictions.
- Dealing with relationship breakdowns, abandonments, assignments, unauthorised occupation including subletting, tenancy fraud and failures to allow access
- Manage your own caseload of ASB, safeguarding and tenancy breaches, including gathering evidence, taking witness statements, implementing early interventions and preparing/serving notices.
- Identify customers at risk of tenancy failure and undertake an assessment of needs to implement positive interventions or signpost to external services to support tenancy sustainment
- Ensuring estates and communal areas remain vibrant, safe and attractive areas to live, liaising with asset and development teams to complement their work in improving neighbourhoods and identify any issues at an early stage
What you'll need to succeed
- Experience of managing housing stock and delivering housing & tenancy management services within the social housing sector
- Knowledge of housing related legislation and best practice
- Experience of managing ASB, nuisance and safeguarding cases
- Ability to manage professional relationships with tenants, challenge non-compliance and work with low/medium level support needs
- Driving licence with access to own vehicle and business insurance
