Summary
We're looking to recruit a Neighbourhood Officer on a 3 month temporary contract in Liverpool on behalf of a well-known housing association. You'll be contracted at 37 hours per week, and will be required to work from the office a minimum of 2 days a week, with the rest out on your patch or working from home where appropriate.
Key responsibilities:
- Act as a key point of contact for all customers in your patch, responding to any enquiries, complaints or tenancy management-related requests.
- Carrying out accompanied viewings, visiting tenant homes to carry out exchange inspections, tenancy reviews, audits and attend evictions.
- Dealing with relationship breakdowns, assignments, abandonments, unauthorised occupation including subletting, tenancy fraud, and failure to allow access
- Manage your own caseload of anti-social behaviour, nuisance and other tenancy breaches by triaging cases, gathering evidence, implement early interventions and preparing/serving notices for eviction
- Supporting customers at risk of tenancy failure by conducting an assessment of needs, implementing early interventions or signposting to external services to assist in the sustainment of tenancies
- Work with asset and development teams to improve neighbourhoods and identify any issues at an early stages
What you'll need to succeed
- Experience of delivering housing and tenancy management services in a social housing setting, managing your own patch of properties
- Good knowledge of housing related legislation and best practice
- Experience of managing ASB, nuisance and safeguarding cases with a knowledge of early intervention tools available
- Ability to work with low/medium support needs, challenge non compliance and manage professional relationships with tenants
- Driving licence with access to own vehicle and business insurance
