Pay Rate: £26.15- £27.64 p/hr.
Location: Coalville & surrounding areas
Please note we are only able to pay PAYE or Umbrella. We do not pay CIS.
As a Chargehand within a Home Improvement Team, you'll be responsible for overseeing and carrying out component replacement work across residential properties. This includes:
- Kitchens
- Boilers
- Bathrooms
- Rewires
- Roofing
- Doors and Windows
You'll also be expected to manage operatives, liaise with support teams, and ensure all work are completed to regulatory standards and within project deadlines.
What you'll need to succeed
- Minimum 1 year of supervisory experience in a trade environment
- Proven trade background, ideally within social housing
- Strong communication skills and experience in tenant-facing roles
- Ability to work independently and manage job scheduling effectively
- Sufficient IT knowledge, using Microsoft etc.
- Full compliance with Health & Safety policies
- Full UK driving licence and access to your own transport
- Up-to-date certifications in:
- Working at Height
- Manual Handling
- Asbestos Awareness
- COSHH
- Relevant Trade Certification
