Job Description

Leisure & Culture Dundee is a Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation (SCIO) SC042421. It was established by Dundee City Council in July 2011 to deliver leisure, sports, library, information and cultural services for the city. www.leisureandculturedundee.com

We are looking for a dynamic Operations Manager to lead, develop and manage the operations of the Caird Hall Complex in line with the priority objectives of Leisure and Culture Dundee. Based at Caird Hall office, you will work full time, 37 hours per week.

Requirements

Degree or equivalent in a relevant subject area e.g. in Hospitality, Event Management or relevant experience.

Responsibilities

To strategically lead, develop and manage the programming and marketing of the Caird Hall Complex in line with the priority objectives of Leisure and Culture Dundee.

The Individual

You will have proven experience of leading successful business plan implementation and people management experience. You will have the ability to set staff standards and monitor delivery through effective performance management. You will have proven understanding and experience in live event planning, marketing, delivery and reporting. As well as a Positive can-do attitude.

You will be friendly and personable with excellent communication and interpersonal skills for delivering high service standards. You will have enthusiasm for taking service delivery forward and embracing change. You will have the ability to build strong working relationships with different sections within the organisation and across venues. You will have high levels of literacy and numeracy, and strong problem-solving skills. You will have a flexible approach and adaptable attitude to the dynamic demands of a busy concert hall environment. Finally you will have patience and positive interpersonal relationships.
