From January 2026, we are looking for someone who is passionate about supporting young people and driven to help them achieve their best. You will take responsibility for the education and welfare of a designated class of children in accordance with the current School Teachers’ Pay and Conditions document, with due regard to the requirements of the National Curriculum, LA, and school policies.
We seek a passionate Teacher of History to join our successful and collaborative Humanities Department, teaching A-Level History.
This post would be suitable for an outstanding ECT or an experienced colleague looking for a new challenge. History is part of our high-performing Humanities team, which achieves consistently strong results.
Maternity Cover Details - This post is to provide maternity leave cover from 1 January 2026, working 32.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday. The position is temporary for one year, ending on 31 December 2026, or on the working day immediately prior to the return of the substantive post holder, whichever occurs first.
As outlined in the job and person specification, the successful candidate will:
• Deliver engaging, high-quality History lessons that cater to a range of abilities.
• Contribute to the development of an ambitious and innovative History curriculum.
• Support students’ academic and personal growth through effective teaching and pastoral care.
• Collaborate with colleagues in our History Department to share resources and best practices.
