Summary
Responsibilities include:
• Providing personal care to clients in their own homes, including bathing, dressing and grooming.
• Assisting clients with meal preparation and feeding and ensuring that they have a balanced and nutritious diet.
• Administering medication in accordance with care plans and ensuring that clients take medication as prescribed.
• Assisting with housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and shopping.
• Providing companionship and emotional support to clients and encouraging them to participate in activities and hobbies.
• Observing and reporting any changes in clients' health or behaviour to the care team.
• Ensuring that clients' care plans are up-to-date and that their needs are always met.
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of clients' care and progress.
Requirements:
Essential:
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Flexible and adaptable approach to work
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and deal with challenging situations
• Ability to always maintain confidentiality
• A commitment to providing high-quality care and support to vulnerable individuals
• Full driving Licence/provisional driver nearing practical test.
