Senior Quantity Surveyor


Location: SW England
Hours: 40 hours per week
Hybrid Working: 2 days from home, 3 days on site
Contract Type: Permanent or Contract, inside IR35 via PAYE

Are you an experienced Quantity Surveyor looking to take the next step in your career? We're seeking a Senior QS to lead commercial activities on site, mentor junior team members, and support project leadership in delivering profitable, well-managed outcomes across complex engineering projects.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Lead the commercial management of site activities, ensuring profitability and risk mitigation.
  • Submit and manage Early Warning Notices (EWNs), Compensation Events (CEs), and other contract notifications.
  • Establish and maintain registers for contractual documentation.
  • Prepare quotations for agreed Compensation Events.
  • Support planners with contractual programme development.
  • Manage and support Applications for Payment.
  • Draft and negotiate subcontracts.
  • Administer contracts with subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Supervise and mentor junior commercial team members.
  • Deliver accurate forecasting, CVRs, and project reporting.
  • Advise site teams on contractual obligations and risk management.
  • Support valuation, invoicing, and subcontractor account certification processes.
What You'll Bring


Essential:

  • Proven post-graduate experience in a Quantity Surveying role.
  • Strong understanding of commercial best practices.
  • Experience in the industrial services or engineering sector.
  • Evidence of risk and change management capabilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Office tools.
  • Valid CCNSG Safety Passport or CSCS (MAPS or Operatives) card.
  • Full UK Working Rights
