What You'll Do

As a key member of our technical performance team, your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing expert technical support for chemical and natural refrigeration systems
  • Ensuring upskilling, best practices, and compliance with client specifications
  • Conducting site audits to ensure systems are performing optimally
  • Leading root cause analysis and delivering actionable plans to resolve issues
  • Supporting service improvements to reduce energy usage, carbon impact, and costs
  • Contributing to assessments (BER and dilapidation) to support strategic goals
  • Acting as a technical interface between Arcus, our clients, and service providers
  • Delivering training and support to field engineers and operational teams

The on-call rotation is 1 in 5, covering a 7-day period. During the week, the hours are from 17:00 to 22:00, and on weekends, from 08:00 to 22:00 - this role provides emergency cover and support but does not require traveling to a site

What You'll Bring

Qualifications (Essential):

  • NVQ Level 3 in Refrigeration (or equivalent)
  • City & Guilds 2079 F-Gas Certification
  • CO₂ Refrigeration Qualification
  • BS7671:2018 Electrical Installations
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • CSCS Card

Knowledge & Experience:

  • Extensive experience with chemical and CO₂ refrigeration systems
  • Strong understanding of control systems, PLCs, and communication infrastructure
  • Skilled in both electrical and mechanical refrigeration aspects
  • Experience with commissioning, service, and maintenance operations
  • Ability to read/edit/create electrical and mechanical diagrams (CAD proficiency ideal)
  • Knowledge of budgeting and cost control

Skills & Traits:

  • Excellent communicator with a collaborative approach
  • Analytical thinker with a passion for continuous improvement
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Strong leadership skills to drive service and performance improvements across teams and third-party contractors
