As our new Design Lead, you will play a pivotal role in bringing those experiences to life across every channel – helping to lead a small, creative team on Digital and Print projects across the Saga Group, and working with industry experts who share your passion for design. We work in a hybrid way at Saga Travel – balancing time at home with time together in our Sandgate office. In this team, we typically collaborate in person around three days per week. • Leading and managing projects in the creation of branded visuals in a variety of formats from print assets, digital assets, to working with our internal teams to deliver best in class marketing materials across all channels as required – working to briefs supplied by the Marketing/Digital/CRM/Social teams or as directed by the Head Creative.
• Lead the development of new up-to-date design concepts, graphics and layouts, in line with briefs keeping our customers front of mind
• Bring the Saga experience to life, drawing on each business units USP’s challenging existing creative by bringing fresh new ideas, utilising brand attributes.
• Working alongside marketing and creative teams to create personalised content as required to support campaigns and customer journeys along with creating the right content at different stages in the customer journey
• Collaborate with Copy and Creative Marketing colleagues, challenging briefs
as required.
• Working with the Creative Marketing, CRM and digital teams to ensure all creative assets are portrayed in the best possible way across all channels creating seamless customer journeys
• Work with the Brand and insight team to test creative and messaging to different customer cohorts to keep communications fresh and relevant.
• Support the Head of Brand to bring to life group wide brand identity projects
When required, work in a collaborative manner with external resource, be that agencies or freelance support
• Experience within design (print, digital, CRM)
• Project manager and strong communicator – able to bring teams together to meet goals.
• A strong negotiator and influencer
• Used to leading a team and building solid working relationships – collaboration is paramount
• You will be a self-starter who is able to create solutions and not wait for a brief.
• Experience in omni-channel visual creation and delivery to deadlines
• Keeping up to date with design and software trends and applying insights to improve business performance.
• Career experience in a consumer-facing organisation.
• Strong commercial awareness.
• Strong growth and performance mentality, innovating and exploring new opportunities beyond the default approach
