Summary
This is a full time fixed term contract until the end of April 2026 based in our Wembley office.
You'll be combining office and home working to ensure a positive work/life balance.
The Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Lettings Officer, you'll ensure the effective delivery of the allocations and lettings process and allocate properties (Special Projects Move On, floating support, LA nominations) following our policies and procedures.
Your responsibilities will include:
Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Regular contact with Sovereign Network Group supported housing managers, scheme managers on nominations and referrals, and regular liaison with voluntary sector organisations regarding nominations and housing advice
Regular liaison with Local Authority (LA) staff for nominations and arranging assessment and viewing appointments
Assisting completing lettings and supporting people returns to local authorities
Arrange and undertake viewings of properties and complete new tenant sign ups, create and end tenancies and rent accounts, and key management for void keys
Process mutual exchange applications and Management Transfer requests within timescale
Manage the choice-based lettings process including advertising properties, managing shortlists, and keeping residents informed; liaise with other landlords and local authorities during the lettings process
What we'll need from you:
Experience of managing a lettings service and operate within a choice-based lettings service
Experience of arranging and managing decanting processes
Sound understanding of issues affecting Housing
Proven track record in service improvement, managing and delivering change
Good standard of education commensurate to the level of the position and required knowledge and skills
Good knowledge of IT systems including Word, Excel and Outlook
A basic DBS check will be undertaken by the successful candidate.
