Summary

The Victoria Theatre is one of Yorkshire’s Arts venues and sits within Public Services of Calderdale Council. We strive to deliver a varied arts and entertainment programme with professional artists, local Amateur Dramatic Society’s, and Community groups.



The Victoria Theatre is looking for highly motivated person to join the Box Office team. The successful applicant will be a part of a team selling tickets and providing administrative support for the development of the box office service in a large receiving house.



Suitable candidates will have experience of working with the public (both in person and on the telephone) in a busy deadline driven, customer facing environment. Good computer skills, communication skills along with Office administration skills are essential.



Candidates must be able to work during the week, evenings, weekends, and Bank Holidays. The working pattern is an annual hours-based contract, and the rota is dependent on the Theatre’s programme.



An opportunity has arisen to join the Box Office Team to maintain a high level of customer care for Victoria Theatre Customers. To ensure that all identified administrative duties are undertaken to ensure a smooth running of the Box Office service.



The Ideal Candidate will need to have the essential skills below



• GCSE Grade 4/C or above in Maths and English, or demonstrable experience.

• Experience of working directly with the public.

• Demonstrate Excellent Customer care.

• Telephone experience in a sales environment.

• Experience of taking bookings and inputting customer data.

• Experience of handling cash, credit/debit cards, banking and cashing up procedures.

• GDPR knowledge.

• Working within a busy office environment -demonstrable experience.

• Confidence with working independently and on own initiative.

• Proven ability to use IT packages including standard Microsoft Office software and customer databases Demonstrable Experience.
