Summary
The post will enable the successful applicant to develop sub-specialty surgery interests to complement the existing consultant staff, especially aiming towards developing and an osteotomy service. The appointee will take equal responsibility with existing Consultants for the proper functioning of the clinical service, working with clinical and managerial colleagues towards achieving and maintaining national maximum waiting times and developing clinical pathways in line with the maximum 18-week patient pathway guarantee, 23hour arthroplasty service. There will be a commitment to General Orthopaedic on-call as part of this post, which at present is 1 in 12 split weekend / days.
