Teachers (Cover Teachers)

Join QUEST Academy Trust as a Cover Teacher and play a vital role in supporting continuity of learning across our family of schools in Hindley and Abram areas. (St. Peter’s C. of E. Primary School, Hindley Green CP School, St. John’s C. of E. Primary School Abram, St. John’s C. of E. Primary Hindley Green)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality teaching cover across our schools, ensuring pupils continue to receive excellent education in the absence of their usual teacher.
  • Take responsibility for and supervise a class of pupils, maintaining a positive and productive learning environment.
  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons that align with school schemes of work and curriculum requirements.
  • Adapt teaching approaches to meet the diverse needs of pupils.
  • Support the wider school community by contributing to a seamless educational experience during staff absences.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Experience delivering effective lessons and managing a classroom.
  • Strong organisational and planning skills to prepare lessons swiftly and efficiently.
  • Ability to maintain high standards of behaviour and promote pupil wellbeing.

Desirable Qualities:

  • Flexibility and adaptability to work across different year groups and settings.
  • Excellent communication skills with pupils, staff, and parents.
  • Commitment to the ethos and values of QUEST Academy Trust.
  • Enthusiasm for contributing positively to the school community and its wider development.

Salary:

  • Main scale salary reflecting experience and qualifications.
