Falkirk Children’s Services is seeking to employ a Support for Learning Assistant that will work across Falkirk Council ELC establishments, to provide a support for learning resource aimed at delivering continuity for children.

You will undertake a range of support activities including general supervision of children to ensure their safety and well-being. You may be required to provide more intensive support for children with additional support needs to ensure that individual plans are carried out regularly and efficiently. Support for Learning Assistants are crucial to the successful delivery of our services to children and are valued team members in all our settings. You will be part of various staff teams, so good communication skills are essential for this post. A positive, can-do attitude and flexibility in your approach is desirable and given the travel around the authority a driving license would be preferable.

The posts are part time (20 hours – Monday to Friday), term time and is temporary with Falkirk Council Children’s Services until 26th June 2026.

Please note the salary will be adjusted pro-rata accordingly for part time and term time working.

If you are the successful candidate, you will be required to gain/maintain PVG scheme membership.
