Falkirk Council’s Inclusion and Wellbeing Service and the ASN Outreach Team are seeking to recruit experienced Support for Learning Assistants who are highly skilled practitioners and committed to delivering the very best experiences for our children and young people.
The posts being recruited to are:
- Inclusion & Wellbeing Service (1 Post – 30 Hrs - Permanent) Based at the Inclusion and Wellbeing Service (Currently Bog Road Industrial Estate, planned to move to Dawson Campus by August 2026
- Inclusion & Wellbeing Service (1 Post – 30 Hrs – Temporary) – Initially until December 2025) Based at the Inclusion and Wellbeing Service (Currently Bog Road Industrial Estate, planned to move to Dawson Campus by August 2026)
- ASN Outreach Service – Interrupted Learner Service (1 Post – 15 Hrs - Permanent) Based between the Cottage, Grahams Road Falkirk and Forth Valley College, Falkirk Campus.
The key policy document for Falkirk Schools is Learning to Achieve. This was co-created by head teachers, teachers, early year’s practitioners, support staff, parents/carers, pupils and other partners.
It sets out clearly our aims for all learners.
Successful applicants will:
- hold an appropriate qualification.
- have significant experience in supporting children and young people who a range of Social, Emotional and Behavioural needs.
- have experience in supporting pupils and young people diagnosed with ASD.
- be willing to work across the service to support both primary and secondary aged pupils.
- be already trained in Therapeutic Crisis Intervention Techniques or be willing to undertake the training.
Successful applicants who progress to the next stage of the recruitment process will be invited to attend a formal interview, focussing on your knowledge of GIRFEC and social/emotional needs.
If you are the successful candidate, you will be required to gain/maintain PVG scheme membership.
