Summary

The timetable of activities will be agreed with the CSL of Radiology before taking up the post. The job plan may be altered in future in consultation with radiological colleagues, the CSL of Diagnostic Radiology BHH and the subspecialty lead. This will be a 10 PA job plan including 1 SPA and on call commitment of 0.75 PA (1 in 26 weekdays and 1 in 13 weekends on call intensity). This is principally a general radiology post involving acute cross-sectional reporting, adult and paediatric US as well as general intervention. The successful candidate will also be expected to take an active part in the training of Specialist Registrars on their rotation through the Departments. The Trust has successfully introduced radiographer skill-mix in several areas including I.V. contrast injections. Supervision of this radiographer extended role may be required. The normal working day in Imaging may be extended to improve the speed of delivery of the service and maximise the efficient use of the equipment. The appointee will be expected to perform a limited number of sessions in the evenings or weekends together with other radiological colleagues. A home workstation will be issued for on-call provision, when available SKILLS & ABILITY Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with other clinical specialties involved with imaging.
