Summary
*Wide experience in aspects of cardiothoracic disease and its management *Experience in Intensive Care management of patients having undergone cardiothoracic surgery *Experience in the peri-operative care of cardiac surgical patients including pain management *Experience of peri-operative TOE *Experience in the anaesthetic and intensive care management of patients undergoing cardiac or lung transplantation *Experience with mechanical cardiac support *TOE exam SKILLS & ABILITY ESSENTIAL DESIRABLE *Builds a strong and effective relationship with patients, relatives and colleagues *Ability to gain confidence and trust *Ability to cope with pressure and adapt to change *Excellent communication skills, team working skills and willingness to work cooperatively *Leadership skills appropriate to leading a multidisciplinary team *Directing and teaching medical, nursing and other professions allied to anaesthesia and Intensive Care
