Summary
Are you passionate about supporting children with special educational needs and helping them achieve their full potential? A welcoming primary and secondary school near Thetford is seeking a caring and committed SEN Teaching Assistant to join their inclusive team. Beginning ASAP.
Duties as a SEN Teaching Assistant:
Assist in planning and delivering tailored learning activities under the guidance of the class teacher or SENCO.
Support pupils with personal care, emotional regulation and communication where required.
Foster positive relationships with pupils, helping them develop social skills and resilience.
Monitor and record student progress, sharing observations with teaching staff and parents.
Help create a safe, nurturing and inclusive classroom environment.
Contribute to school-wide initiatives, staff meetings and training sessions.
Ideal SEN Teaching Assistant:
Previous experience working with children in a school or SEN setting is desirable but not essential; full training will be provided.
A patient, compassionate and adaptable approach to working with children of different abilities and needs.
Good communication and teamwork skills as a SEN Teaching Assistant.
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people.
