Working across our UK & Europe Division, Justice & Immigration (J&I) and Transport & Community Services (TCS) businesses, you’ll support senior leaders in communicating effectively with colleagues across the business, while also helping to build Serco’s reputation and credibility with the outside world. Whether it’s shaping internal campaigns that boost employee engagement or creating clear, compelling external messaging, your words will help bring our purpose and values to life.

You’ll need excellent writing and editing skills, but just as importantly, you’ll have the ability to translate complex ideas into clear, accessible content. You’ll be proactive, collaborative and confident engaging with stakeholders at all levels, combining meticulous research with a keen understanding of what resonates with different audiences.

As part of this you’ll:

- Work with marketing and media managers to design content programs
- Use data and insights to evaluate the success of our campaigns
- Produce compelling content across a range of external media
- Develop and implement communication plans for internal communication to support increased employee engagement
- Develop effective communication channels and content to communicate with employees, such as newsletters, brochures, face sheets, video and social media
- Support mobilisation of new contracts through effective communications materials
- Manage one direct report

What you’ll need to do the role:

- 5+ years’ experience operating in a similar role in a B2B/professional services environment
- Proven track record of generating compelling, pro-active content which drives demonstrable business benefits
- Strong communication and project management skills

- Analytical capabilities to identify problems and provide resolutions
- Creative thinker, with the ability to handle large amounts of information and distil into compelling and easy to understand messages

What we offer:

- Company car
- Private healthcare
- Bonus scheme of 5% on target and 10% exceeding targets
- Flexible working considered
- Pension – 6%
- Employee Assistance Programme
