The Role
We are seeking a proactive and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to join a secondary school in Wakefield. As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for managing classrooms and ensuring the continuity of learning during the short-term absence of a regular teacher. Requirements
- Previous experience working with young people.
- Strong classroom management skills.
- Eligibility to work in the UK.

Responsibilities
- Supervising students in the classroom during the absence of a teacher.
- Ensuring students are on task and engaged with their work.
- Managing classroom behaviour in line with the school's policy.
- Delivering pre-planned lessons across a range of subjects.
- Providing support and assistance to students as needed.
- Reporting any issues or incidents to the relevant head of department.
- Maintaining a safe and tidy learning environment.
- Fostering a positive and respectful atmosphere in the classroom.
- Adhering to the school's policies and procedures.
- Acting as a positive role model for students.
