This role is a permanent contract, 39 hours per week - Working Sunday - Thursday, which is inclusive of Bank Holidays.

Pay: £13.59 per hour
Hours: Start and finish times vary depending on if you are picking or driving; 6:30am to 3pm when picking and 4:00am to 12:00pm when driving.
What you’ll be doing…
Riverford’s Wholesale business unit supplies a wide range of shops, cafes, restaurants, schools and producers with fabulous organic fruit and veg. It is an exciting time in Wholesale, we are a tight and vibrant team, and the business is growing. You’ll be part of our dispatch and delivery team. As a key member of the team, you will be working alongside your co-owners taking responsibility for the collation of customer orders in the wholesale fridge. You will work closely with the Wholesale Warehouse Manager and Team Leader to ensure that all orders are complete, checking that our produce is top quality and that paperwork is completed accurately and on time.
This role also involves driving one of our branded vans to cover driver holidays/sickness etc. When driving you will be delivering a wide range of organic fresh produce to our business wholesale customers in the South West; customer focused and friendly, you’ll be keen to make a good impression, and build great working relationships.
It requires an early start, and you will be responsible for loading the delivery van, making sure the deliveries are correct and that they arrive to our customers on time and in perfect condition. You’ll develop and grow your knowledge of our award-winning fruit and veg and will put it to good use in handling customer orders and dealing with our customers every week.
What we’re looking for
Ideally previous experience in dispatch or distribution is preferred.
Must be comfortable working in a chilled environment.
Excellent communication skills.
Numerate and detail-oriented, with the ability to check paperwork and deliveries accurately.
Physically capable of manually lifting heavy boxes and hand-loading a van.
Full UK driving licence required (forklift licence desirable but not essential).
Excellent customer service skills.
Previous experience in delivery (van) driving.
