Summary
You will work closely with the Support Manager to coordinate the various functions of Outpatients including reception cover, clinic capacity and provision of health records for use in clinic. The successful applicant will be expected to organize and priorities the workload of a small team to ensure an effective and efficient service is provided, escalating issues to Team Leader and management team where appropriate. The successful applicant will possess the ability to exercise initiative suitable to the role to ensure all urgent patients are appointed in a timely manner in line with the Patient Access policy, and clinic capacity is utilised to its full potential. Good communication skills are essential as the post holder will be expected to deal with enquiries from patients and healthcare professionals both internal and external to the department. Previous experience within a similar role within the Trust and knowledge of Outpatient processes would be particularly advantageous, although full in-depth training will be provided as part of our local induction programme. The post holder will be expected to work their hours during core hours (09:00 17:00) over 5 days in line with the needs of the service. Please see attached job description
