About the Role
You’ll be working directly with young people in care, supporting them emotionally and practically as they transition into adulthood. Your role will include:
Helping them develop life skills such as budgeting, cooking, and self-care
Supporting education, training, and employment goals
Promoting emotional wellbeing and resilience
Encouraging positive relationships and community engagement
Ensuring safeguarding and compliance with care plans
What We’re Looking For
Essential: Proven experience working with looked-after children aged 16–18
Strong understanding of the challenges faced by care-experienced young people
Ability to build trust and communicate effectively
Calm under pressure, with a trauma-informed approach
Commitment to promoting independence and self-confidence
