Summary

Graduate Maths Academic Mentor

Location: Lambeth, South London
Role: Full-time, Monday to Friday 8:30am–15:30pm
Salary: £500–£600 per week
Start Date: September 2025

Who We’re Looking For

The ideal Graduate Maths Academic Mentor for this role will have:

• A recent graduate degree (2:1 or higher) in Mathematics, Economics, Finance or related field
• A genuine passion to help mentor and develop young people
• A confident, easy-going nature and ability to engage with students
• Interest in establishing a career in the education sector
• Some experience tutoring, mentoring or as a TA is beneficial but not essential

The Role

This Graduate Maths Academic Mentor opportunity is ideal for any Maths graduate who wants to utilise their skills to make a difference.

As a Graduate Maths Academic Mentor, your main responsibilities will include:

• Delivering 1:1 and small-group interventions with Maths students
• Focussed support for both top-achievers and lower ability students to help them achieve their best
• Supporting exam preparation and inspire pupils aiming for top grades
• Working side-by-side with experienced teachers and observing good practice
• Develop classroom confidence, leadership skills, and teaching techniques – all whilst receiving continuous training throughout the academic year
• Gain an inside track into teacher training routes for 2026
