Summary
We are seeking a knowledgeable and engaging History Teacher to inspire students and bring the past to life. The successful candidate will plan and deliver high-quality lessons that foster curiosity, critical thinking, and a deep understanding of historical events and their impact on the modern world. Beginning November 2025.
Duties as History Teacher:
Teach History across KS3 and KS4, with potential to deliver A-Level if appropriate
Design and deliver engaging lessons that develop analytical and evaluative skills
Prepare students for internal assessments and external examinations
Encourage debate, independent research, and the use of historical sources
Contribute to curriculum development, trips, and enrichment activities
Uphold school policies, including safeguarding and behaviour management
Ideal History Teacher:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or recognised equivalent
Strong subject knowledge and a passion for History
Excellent communication, organisational, and classroom management skills
Ability to inspire and challenge students of varying abilities
Commitment to ongoing professional development and collaborative working
